As the new school year begins, Agora has witnessed significant enrollment growth as families across Pennsylvania have researched their options and have determined Agora’s model is the right fit for their children. This unprecedented growth has extended Agora’s elementary school program to full capacity in effectively preparing all learners in achieving their highest potential, so at this time Agora has enacted a waitlist for any future elementary school (K-5th) enrollments. The middle and high school programs will continue to enroll new students and offer the robust programming that prepares students for bright futures.

AGORA CYBER CHARTER SCHOOL WELCOMES NEW LEADER EAGER TO CONTINUE OPPORTUNITIES OF EDUCATIONAL EMPOWERMENT FOR PENNSYLVANIA FAMILIES

 PHILADELPHIA (July 15, 2020)— Agora Cyber Charter School (Agora)—a full-time online public charter school serving Pennsylvania residents in grades K-12—recently announced the retirement of Michael Conti, Ed.D., who concluded four years of leadership as Chief Executive Officer in June. Dr. Conti’s replacement as CEO, Rich Jensen, Ed.D., has served as Agora’s Chief Academic Officer for nearly four years, working with Dr. Conti on developing the school’s academic vision and strategies, as well as implementing tactics and quality control regimens for achieving long- and short-term goals.

Destinations Career Academy at Agora Cyber Charter School is an innovative online program available to students through Pennsylvania that combines traditional high school academics with industry-relevant, career-focused electives—giving students from 9th to 12th grade a jump-start on their college and career goals. The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) requires all schools to create a Health and Safety Plan. As a cyber charter school, daily operational procedures for instruction and support of students provided by teachers, specialists, family coaches, etc. are virtual and therefore will continue as normal. The following Health and Safety plan is designed to address only the reopening of the school’s main office and the provision of in-person services.
